We worked on a new brand profile and web solution for Miljøstatus.no. Part of this work included the development of 40 new icons.
In addition to the work with the icons and the brand profile, we redesigned the entire website. This included comprehensive restructuring of the navigational flow and content strategy as well as user tests and web design.
We designed 40 icons in five different categories: transport, sectors, biota, weather and miscellaneous. To keep the series as visually consistent as possible, we mapped out a framework within which all the symbols had to fall – rules such as line width, height/width, level of detail etc. We also spent a great deal of time studying various animals to identify the small characteristics that could be amplified in our illustrations.
